Looking for our Blessed hope

John 14:2-3 says I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself, that where I am, there you may be also. This is a direct promise from the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord's. Very soon Jesus is coming to take believers out of this world. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the lord in the air. And thus shall we ever be with the Lord. therefore comfort one another with these words.

Believers are comforted by the knowledge that God's wrath is not for those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ

Further study of God's word shows us how God has never ever poured out his wrath on believers. There are many examples of how God rescued his people from certain destruction.

The rapture of the church is a wonderful hope for every believer. Followers of Jesus have waited now for over 2000 years for this promise to true. We watch everyday as Bible prophecy unfolds before our very eyes. The days are certainly evil and we wonder how much worse it can possibly get. Scholars and prophecy teachers say we are the last generation. We are the ones who will hear the trumpet blast when Christ returns in the air to rapture his church.

The fulfilment of Bible prophecy should encourage us. We should have a happy expectation regarding our Lord's imminent return.

I am a firm believer in a pre-trib rapture. From study I have learnt that the rapture is when Jesus comes for the saints. In the second coming he will come back with the saints. The rapture takes place in the air. The second coming takes place on the earth. Believers will be rescued from the earth before the 7 year Tribulation in which the wrath of God is poured out.
Thanks to Jesus and his sacrifice, we are not guilty, therefore we will not suffer the wrath of the lamb.
I believe there is a lot of confusion between tribulation and wrath. Tribulation is the unrighteous persecution of believers by unbelievers. The wrath of God is poured out on those who reject his son Jesus Christ.1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Soon and very soon time will run out for mankind. 2 Peter 3:19 tells us that God does not want anyone to perish, but all to come to a knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Amen! Even so come Lord Jesus!
