Why the church will not experience God's wrath

The Rapture is the most wonderful and exciting prospect, that will turn the world upside down. Millions of people disappearing in the twinkling of an eye, who could believe such a thing. Yet that is exactly what the word of God tells us will happen. It is a much debated subject among biblical scholars and the layman Christian.
I personally believe that the evidence for a pre-tribulation rapture is overwhelming.
The return of Jesus and the idea of meeting with him in the clouds is so exciting. What a glorious and joyful time that will be. The bible calls this Our blessed hope. The return of our Lord and Saviour will signal the end of all our trials and hardships of this life.

Romans 8:18
For I consider that the suffering of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Anyway let us examine some of the reasons why I believe the rapture will happen before the tribulation. For those of you who are not familiar with the Tribulation, it will be a time of total destruction. During a period 7 years God will pour out his wrath upon the earth against all those who choose to follow Satan. For unbelievers it will be an horrific time.

Throughout the Bible we can see examples of how God has removed his people from Destruction. The most memorable event was the flood in which Noah and his family were saved. This was a type of rapture. Noah warned those who did not believe that destruction was coming, But they did not heed the warnings. The Bible talks about our modern times being like it was in the time of Noah

Matthew 24:37-39
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the son of man be. for as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away so shall also the coming of the son of man be.

We see a similar story with Lot. The word of God tells us that Sodom and Gomorrah was completely destroyed with fire and brimstone from heaven. But not before Lot and his family were safely outside the city. Did God not say he would not destroy the city of Sodom and Gomorrah if even just 10 people were found were found to be righteous. Genesis 18:32

Jesus says, in John 14:1-3
let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God believe also in me. In my father's house are many mansions, if it were no so, I would have told you. I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, there may you be also. This is a direct promise from Jesus that at some time in the future he will come and take us where he is..

Take a look at this scripture in Isiah. God is going to protect believers when he pours out his wrath.
Isaiah 26:19-21
Isaiah 26:19-21 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust, for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. Come my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut the doors about thee, hide thyself as it were for a little moment until the indignation be overpast. For behold the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. So yes the Old testament does support a pre-rib rapture.

1 Corinthans 15:51 Behold I show you a mystery, we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed.

The tribulation is also a time of trouble for Israel called Jacob's trouble. For believers the rapture will be a rescue. For the Jews and unbelievers it will be a time of judgement. The Tribulation is for the salvation of the Jewish nation.
There is also the doctrine of imminency. There are no signs that need to happen before the rapture. It could have happened anytime over the last 2000 years.

It is a known fact that if the rapture occurs after the tribulation, then that would mean the rapture could not happen at anytime. We would be able to know the day or hour by counting down from the start of the tribulation. Believers are waiting and watching for his imminent return. Waiting for the call from Jesus to Come up. We as believers are eager for that call.

To quote a well studied Bible expositor the late Chuck Missler. If the rapture happens after the tribulation then the bridegroom is saying, Come lets get married, then I am going to beat the living daylights out of you. And then we are going to have dinner. Comfort one another with these words. LOL

There are many scriptures that lend towards a pre-trib rapture.
Titus 2:13

Looking for the blessed hope, and glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Luke 21:36 But stay awake at all times, praying you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the son of man

Zephaniah 2:3

Zephaniah 2:3 Seek ye the Lord all ye meek of the earth, which hath wrought his judgement, seek rightousness, seek meekness, it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord's anger.

For me one some of the most amazing examples are found in the person of Joseph son of Jacob. Some of his life foreshadows the life of Jesus. I suggest you do your own study on this, it is an eye opener. Before the 7 year famine occurred in Egypt, Joseph took a gentile bride. The church as we know are the gentiles.

We can also look at Daniel who was elevated to a high office in Babylon while his brothers were placed in a 7 TIMES HOTTER FURNACE. Daniel was protected. This is just a few examples. If you study God's word you will learn hundreds more.

There is no doubt in the word of God that the rapture will occur at some point. There are far too many discrepancies with regard to post-trib or mid-trib.

A Pre-tribulation rapture seems to be the only scenario that makes sense.

It is something the church can really look forward too.

Amen, even so, come, Lord Jesus.
