Heaven what is it like

Have you ever wondered what heaven is like?  Can it be true that such a place exists? There are many questions to ask when it comes to the notion of heaven and it's reality. One thing for certain is everyone wants to go there. Well as a Christian I believe without a doubt that heaven is a real place.  The Bible tells us that for those who are saved and have placed their faith in Jesus it is really something to look forward too. Can you imagine a place where there will be no more sickness or death or crime. Revelation 21:4 says And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things have passed away.  In John 14:2-4 Jesus himself also tells us that he is going to build a place for us and that he has gone ahead of us to prepare for our arrival. He is preparing real mansions in which we who believe in him will one day inhabit.

Some people have claimed to have visited heaven through a near death experience, or a vision from God. They say Heaven has a beauty like you've never ever seen and music like you have never ever heard.

Heaven is also the dwelling place of God. Psalm 33:13 It is a place where he can behold all the sons of men. So there is one certainty about heaven, it is where God lives and rules.

The word heaven appears 276 times in the new testament. The apostle Paul talks about being caught up into the third heaven 2 Corinthians 12:1-9. Caught up meaning Harpazo, the same verb used for rapture. He goes on to say he heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak. What Paul experienced must have been absolutely amazing.

Where is heaven ?

There is some speculation that heaven maybe in the North. Leviticus 1:11 says He shall kill it on the north side of the altar before the Lord; and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall sprinkle its blood all around on the altar.
North is always the same direction from this planet no matter what time of day. If you were to point to the north in the morning, twelve hours later you would still be pointing in the same direction. No matter where the earth is in its orbit about the sun, north is always the same direction in relation to the earth. So no matter what time of day or what time of year, north is always the same direction. It also tells us in Psalm 75:6 For exaltation comes neither from the east Nor from the west nor from the south.

Of course some may say this is purely conjecture, and they are right. There are other verses that also indicate that heaven maybe in the North. I imagine getting to heaven would just be like stepping into another dimension. God exists outside of time which is why he has forknowledge of events on earth. Psalm 92:2 tells us Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

What will heaven be like

Heaven will be a place filled with beauty beyond our wildest imagination. A home where there will be peace, health, and unbelievable joy. Heaven is the destiny of all those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their lord and saviour.
The earth we now live in has been corrupted by sin and death. When Adam and Eve chose to disobey God they brought a curse upon the planet and mankind. However God in his mercy had an awesome plan to redeem his children by sending his son Jesus Christ as a ransom for our sins John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

Those who have given their heart to Jesus will experience a wonderful future in paradise. When Jesus was being crucified there was a thief on a cross next to him, he turned and spoke to Jesus asking him to remember him, Jesus replied today you will be with me in paradise.
If you would like to be with Jesus in paradise then all you have to do is something as simple as ABC.

(A) Admit you are a sinner
(B) Believe that Jesus died for you and rose again
(C) confess it with your mouth

Here is a prayer that will help you surrender your heart to Jesus

Father in Heaven.  Thank You for the sacrifice you made for me.  You sent your son, Jesus, to suffer and die for my sins.  And I know in my heart and mind that Jesus rose from the grave as proof that I was given everlasting life, WITH YOU!  Lord, please forgive me for my personal sins. Grant me a new and clean heart; pierce it with your Holy Spirit and live in me forever! Teach me to do your will on earth. And direct me in all the ways of my life, that I may follow you wherever you lead. Father, I offer this prayer today, believing that you are my father in Heaven and that you sent your only son, Jesus, to suffer and die for me. AMEN. 

God created everything we see on this earth. Our planet is filled with mystery and wonder. This is just a small sample of the glorious abundant life we will experience in heaven. 1 Corinthians 2:9-11 Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love him.
