In an hour you think not!

The stage for the end of the church age has been set. All of the players are almost in place. So many prophecies have been fulfilled regarding Israel. I often hear people say the rapture cannot happen yet, because things are not quite bad enough. The word that keeps coming to my mind is when Jesus said, "In an hour that you think not". 
When the trumpet sounds for the rapture, there will be nothing to indicate that it is about to happen. It will be a complete surprise even to some believers. When God told Noah to build an arc, people laughed and mocked him. They did not believe his warnings. They thought he was nuts. This is exactly what is happening in these latter times.

2 Peter 3:3  Knowing this first, there will come in the last days scoffers walking after their own lusts.

Matthew 24:37-39 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the son of man be. THINK about these words. Do we not see this going on around us right now. The world thinks we are a joke. When we tell them about what is coming, they just laugh at us.

In recent years there have been a lot of date setters, who 

have tried to predict the rapture. I must admit some of these can be quite convincing, so it can be easy to get sucked into it. As a result the world no longer listens to people when they say the world will end on a specified day. 
The media always seems to blame the Christians, which in turn gives us a bad reputation. Hundreds of predictions have come and gone. yet the world remains. We need to always look to the word of God for the truth. Jesus said no man will know the day or the hour. That does not mean we will not know the season. God gives lots of signs that the time is near.

I am personally listening for the sound of the trumpet. Everyday I wake up with expectation in my heart. I think wow this could just be the day that we all meet the Lord in the air. Remember it will be a day like any other, with nothing out of the ordinary happening. Suddenly we who have trusted in Jesus for our salvation, will find ourselves standing before him. Now that is something to look forward to.
