Does Jesus still heal

Does Jesus Christ still heal today ? Please note that this is my understanding of healing as written in the scriptures. Not everyone will agree with me, and that is fine. May I encourage you to undertake your own study of God's truth contained in his word.

When Jesus was on the earth he performed many healings. Luke 4:40 When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to him, and he laid his hands on every one of them and healed them.
Jesus truly was the great physician. He laid hands on every one of them, not just some were healed but all were healed. Jesus loves us so much that he hates to see us suffer, he wants to heal and restore each one of us.

How can God choose not to heal someone, when he has already paid the price for that healing. The stripes Jesus bore on his body were a payment. How can we have faith for healing if we believe that God chooses to heal some, but not others.
I know it seems silly to deny the fact that sickness is in our body, especially when we experience the pain and discomfort of it. We can however based on the covenant promises of God  deny it's right to be there, after all it is the temple of the holy spirit. We have to have an active faith. 

The book of James tells us For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead. Biblical faith will produce results, it just requires us to act upon that faith. Wherever Jesus went he had a 100% healing record. He claimed it was only a lack of faith that prevented them from receiving their miracle. Mark 6:4-6 Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honour except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home. He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. He was amazed at their lack of faith.We need to go to Jesus in total faith. God's love knows no bounds and his mercy endures forever.

 Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, daughter, thy faith has made thee whole. go in peace, and be whole of thy plague. His answer tells us that her faith has made her well. This illustrates that physical health is available to all who follow Jesus, and put their trust in him. Psalm 103 says Bless the Lord O my soul who forgives all your iniquity and heals all your diseases.
Does Jesus want to heal you? yes it's assured. Isaiah 53:4-5 Surely he took our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his stripes we are healed.

Jesus also gives us the power to heal the sick. We are his ambassadors. He not only wants us to proclaim the gospel, but he wants to use us to set the captives free. We must not limit our thinking, through unbelief. With God everything is possible. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil 1John 3:7

Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will follow those who believe, in my name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues, they will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them, they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they brought sin into the world. Jesus was made sin for us when he was lifted up on the cross, the same way that Moses was instructed to erect a bronze snake on a high pole, and anyone who was bitten by a snake could look up and be healed. Numbers 21:8

Jesus has equipped us with same glory he had. We have everything we need to accomplish his mission. When God looks at us he sees Jesus. John 17:22-23 And the glory which you gave me I have given them, that they may be one just as we are one. I in them and you in me, that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them as you have loved me.

When we except Jesus as our Lord and saviour. We inherit so many blessings. God promises to provide us with all that we need. We also come under the Abrahamic blessing Exodus 23:25 So you shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.

The word of God is medicine to the soul. When you receive a prescription from a doctor, and he instructs you to take it until you are better, then you would be foolish not to do so. Do the same with the word of God. Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

There are people who have been healed by meditating daily on the word of God.
Reading healing scriptures every day will increase your faith for your miracle.
Print out your healing scriptures and go over them a few times a day. Allow the holy spirit to minister to your need. Speak them over yourself and lay claim to your inheritance as a child of God.
